Wing’s Neck Restoration

Wings Neck Restoration of the Saltonstall House Built approximately 1907 and designed by J. Harleston Parker. This home has a spectacular and panoramic view of the old Cape Cod Canal.

This house was a complete interior and exterior renovation/restoration including removing walls and adding steel I-beams to support the second-floor loads. The house has many additions, decks, porches, and quirky details.

The house has been insulated per the MA building codes, all the mechanical systems have been updated, replaced, and improved. The electrical wiring has been replaced per MA electrical code. We built seven bathrooms and cabinetry. All the rear of the house has new additions along the first floor with the upper decks built on. The new windows and doors are Marvin.

This client had us repurpose many architectural artifacts including antique columns, windows, sashes, dressing screens, and old furniture used for certain built-ins. You name it, we used it.

The house has a cedar taper sawn shingle roof fastened with stainless steel nails over building paper and cedar breather. The house has all new pre-stained white cedar shingles. All the exterior trim has been replaced. We built on the front entry way using reclaimed columns. We also added the pergolas on the front and rear of the house. The new Carriage House-garage and Porte-cochere have also been added to the main house by our company.
